The second hackathon in the HackAP hackathon series is here. Conducted jointly by Alcove Partners, ā-Hub, TiE and NASSCOM, this hackathon will focus on Vision, Resource Conservation and IoT.

Venue: AU Incubation Center (ā-Hub)

Theme: Vision, Resource Conservation & IoT
Team Size: 2 - 5 members per team
Eligibility: Open to all
Area of Focus: Multi-disciplinary (IT usage is necessary)
Note: All the problems in the hackathon are real-world problems provided by companies from various industries.
Prizes
  • Top 3 teams with a working solution will be awarded prizes.
  • Some winners can also expect incubation support in the form of space, mentoring, internships, job offers and more.
  • All participating teams that are present for the Valedictory will be awarded certificates of participation.
Facilities
  • Workspace for participating teams on Sunday 29 January from 9 AM onwards.
  • Wi-Fi access (participants may also want to bring their own dongles in case they find the Wi-Fi speeds to be slow).
  • Refreshments, lunch & drinking water.

  • 9:30 AM: Inaugural
    Address by organizers - 8 minutes (2 minutes each)
    Rules explained - 12 minutes
    Q&A - 10 minutes
  • 10 AM: Hackathon launch
29 January 2023 (In-person at AU Incubation Center)
  • 9 AM: Report to the ā-Hub first floor
  • 2 PM: Solutions submission deadline
  • 2 - 3 PM: Judges decide top 5 teams
  • 3 - 4 PM: Presentations by top-5 teams
  • 4 - 4:30 PM: Judges deliberate
  • 4:30 PM - 5 PM: Awards and Valedictory
Rules
  • The hackathon will be conducted online from 10 AM on Saturday, 28 January 2023. On Sunday, 29 January 2023, all participating teams should report in person to the AU Incubation Center (ā-Hub) between 9 AM and 9:30 AM. Late comers may be disqualified and lose their chance to continue the contest.
  • The problem statements will be released latest by 11PM on the 27th night.
  • The solutions must be the own work of participating teams.
  • Participants should have their own laptops and any other equipment that will help them develop a solution.
  • Most problems may require IoT devices or drones or computer vision-related aids to arrive at solutions.
